• Juvenile Justice Officer
Job Description for Juvenile Justice Officer (2)
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
• Diploma in Social Work or Sociology from a recognised institution, plus a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with children; OR
• Trained Teacher’s Certificate, plus a minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with children; OR
• A mature individual with a complete secondary education and demonstrable experience in caring for children.
Additional Requirements:
• Ability to work on a shift basis.
• Strong interpersonal skills and capacity to support the welfare and development of children.
• A valid police clearance is required.
Juvenile Justice Officer
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Youth Development, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ experience working with youth, preferably within a Juvenile Justice or Social Services environment.
• Demonstrated ability and willingness to travel as required by the portfolio.
• A valid police clearance is required.
