Guyana Bolsters Bilateral Ties Through Participation in International Road Transport Agreement Meeting with Brazil in Boa Vista

The recent participation of the Government of Guyana in a technical bilateral meeting in Boa Vista, Brazil, of the International Road Transport Agreement (IRTA) with Brazil signifies an important step towards fostering closer ties and collaboration in the transportation sector.

This agreement, which focuses on the transportation of passengers and cargo, aims to promote economic development, regional integration, and stronger bilateral relations.

Led by Ambassador Elisabeth Harper, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the Guyanese delegation included Mr. Andre Ally, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Rodger King, Consul General of Guyana in Boa Vista, and others from various government agencies, this meeting demonstrates the government’s commitment to progressing the implementation of the road agreement and promoting mutual benefits for both countries.
