— 𝟏𝟕 𝐍𝐞𝐰 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬 𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐮𝐞𝐝 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐍𝐚𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐬

On February 8, 2024, the Immigration Support Services facilitated a momentous citizenship ceremony, welcoming 17 individuals from nine diverse countries into the Guyanese family. The simple yet significant ceremony took place at the Ministry of Home Affairs Boardroom, Brickdam.

The Honourable Robeson Benn, Minister of Home Affairs, extended congratulations to the recipients during his address, emphasising the value of the cultural richness and the fresh perspectives they bring to Guyana.

Mr. Andre Ally, Permanent Secretary, stressed the importance of Guyana’s national pledge during his brief remarks, urging the new citizens to embrace unity and collaboration for the collective happiness and prosperity of Guyana.

Ms. Michelle Davis, Head of Immigration Support Services, reminded the new citizens of Guyana about the critical importance of upholding the nation’s laws in all their pursuits.

Today’s ceremony not only symbolises a legal milestone but also marks the beginning of a new chapter for these individuals and their contributions to the vibrant culture of the Guyanese society.
