PRESS RELEASE

PRESS RELEASE MINISTRY OF HOME AFFAIRS OCTOBER 7, 2025 Ministry of Home Affairs Launches Digitised Immigration Support Services Platform – A collaborative initiative with the National Data Management Authority (NDMA) Fulfilling a key commitment made by His Excellency, President Dr. Irfaan Ali, to digitalise government services across Guyana, the Ministry of Home Affairs, in collaboration with the National Data Management Authority (NDMA), has officially launched the digitised Immigration Support Services (ISS) platform. This milestone marks another major step in the Government’s ongoing efforts to modernize public administration and improve service delivery through technology. The new online platform, accessible via https://eservices.iss.gov.gy, now accepts all immigration applications electronically. This includes applications for employment, business, student, and visitor visas, as well as extensions. Through this platform, applicants can conveniently register online, upload required and supporting documents, and complete payments either at the Ministry or through Mobile Money Guyana (MMG+). To ensure inclusivity, walk-in applicants will continue to be accommodated. Applicants will have access to a dedicated system at the Immigration Support Services to complete their applications independently, with staff available to offer guidance if required. Speaking on the significance of the initiative, Minister of Home Affairs, Hon. Oneidge Walrond, emphasized that the system represents a major leap forward in public service efficiency and citizen accessibility. “For citizens, this new system offers significant benefits, shorter wait times, reduced congestion at service counters, and the convenience of applying anytime, anywhere from home or office. This means greater accessibility to immigration services and faster overall processing, contributing to more efficient and citizen-centric service delivery,” the Minister noted. The platform improves workflow efficiency, transparency, and user experience, aligning with the Government’s wider commitment to building smarter, technology-driven public services. “The Ministry is bridging traditional service delivery with modern technology to create a future where digital solutions simplify lives and strengthen institutions,” Minister Walrond added. The launch of the ISS eServices platform underscores the Government’s commitment to delivering efficient, transparent, and citizen-friendly services in keeping with Guyana’s digital transformation goals. -END-
