The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Mr. Andre Ally, along with Acting Deputy Commissioner of Operations, Mr. Errol Watts, and other senior police officers, conducted an official site visit to the Ruimveldt Wharf on Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
The site visit highlighted the significant progress made on the project, which includes the completion of a boat house for the Guyana Police Force, the rehabilitation and extension of the existing wharf, and the construction of a floating ramp. This comprehensive project, executed by J.K.P Construction, represents a substantial investment in enhancing the operational capabilities of the police force.
The project, valued at G$60,835,588, has now reached practical completion, marking a major milestone in the Government’s efforts to improve infrastructure and support for law enforcement activities in the region.
