Minister Robeson Benn discusses police capacity building cooperation with Toronto Police Chief

The brief fruitful meeting occurred on March 7, 2023 in Toronto. Some topics discussed were the importance of diversity, professionalism, exchange visits, cooperation to enhance Guyana’s Police Academy, among other issues.

Present were Br. Omar Farouk, Co-Chair for the Chief Muslim Consultative Committee of Toronto Police Service, His Excellency Keith George CCH, High Commissioner of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana to Canada, Chief Myron Demkiw, a Member of the Order of Merit of the Police Forces (M.O.M.), Toronto Police Service, Ms. Grace Joseph, Consul General (ag) of the Co-operative Republic of Guyana to Toronto, and Ms. Nutana Singh, Executive Assistant to the Consul General.
