The Honourable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn, M.P., alongside Permanent Secretary Mr. Andre Ally, joined His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Prime Minister Brigadier (Ret’d) Mark Phillips, Minister of Housing and Water, Mr. Collin Croal, and Minister within the Ministry of Housing and Water, Ms. Susan Rodrigues, at the opening ceremony of the International Building Expo 2024. The event, held last evening, Thursday, August 8, 2024, at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, East Bank Demerara, was also attended by several Cabinet Members, members of the Diplomatic Corps, representatives from the Private Sector, and other distinguished guests.

Following the opening ceremony, Minister Benn and Mr. Ally toured various booths to engage with exhibitors and learn about the diverse products and services on display.

The International Building Expo 2024, themed “Building on the Foundation of Sustainability and Unity,” is scheduled to run from August 8 to 11, 2024, at the National Stadium. This expo aims to provide a vital platform for networking, creating opportunities, and fostering collaboration among local and international investors to enhance Guyana’s architectural and infrastructural landscape.
