The Hon’ble Robeson Benn, Minister of Home Affairs, was in Region Two as part of the Government of Guyana’s ongoing public engagement efforts. As part of his visit, Minister Benn will meet with residents of Onderneeming, Red Village, and surrounding communities at the Red Village Centre at 16:00 hrs today (Monday, March 10, 2025).
Upon his arrival in the Cinderella County, Minister Benn took the opportunity to interact with shop owners and passersby, raising awareness of the Ministry’s Do the Right Thing campaign. He distributed campaign buttons while emphasizing the importance of community involvement in promoting safety and security.
Minister Benn is accompanied by a team from the Ministry of Home Affairs, along with Senior Superintendent Khemraj Shivbaran, Commander of Regional Police Division Two, and his team. During this visit, they are engaging directly with residents across the region and assessing the progress of ongoing works at key security facilities, including the Fire Station, Police Boathouse, and other police stations.
This engagement reflects the Government’s continued commitment to strengthening community relations and enhancing public security infrastructure across Guyana.
