The Honorable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn, representing Guyana, attended the opening ceremony of the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) 2024, held in Toronto, Canada on March 3, 2024.

The PDAC convention, scheduled to run until March 6, 2024, is renowned as the premier event for the mineral exploration and mining industry and serves as a platform for networking, knowledge exchange and showcasing cutting-edge technologies and projects.

During his visit, Minister Benn toured the exhibition halls, engaging with industry leaders, stakeholders and exhibitors to explore innovative solutions, investment opportunities and best practices in mineral exploration and development.

The PDAC convention provides a dynamic forum for global stakeholders to exchange insights, forge partnerships and drive forward the agenda for responsible and inclusive mining practices.

Minister Benn’s participation underscores Guyana’s commitment to fostering mutually beneficial relationships and promoting sustainable development within the global mining community.
