Minister Benn attends Lamaha Park Community Policing Group Fundraiser Activity

Honourable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn on Sunday, February 26, 2023, attended the Lamaha Park Community Policing Group (CPG), Fundraising Activity to support Community development.

Together with Mr. Fraser, Chairman of the Lamaha Park CPG, and other members, Minister Benn conducted a walk-through of the community, where several issues were raised by members of the community group.

He explained to the members during his meeting with them the value of the Community Policing Group in bridging the gap between the public and the police, which contributes to reducing crime.

Mr. Benn further emphasized that the CPGs, also help develop methods to foster community involvement and provide assistance.

Minister Benn commended the group for their commitment to the neighborhood and willingness to take on the difficult task.

According to him, in some areas, you have to put a lot of effort into eradicating the prejudice and unhealthy behaviors of previous residents.
