Minister Benn Attends Guyana Fire Service Batch #2 Graduation Ceremony

In a momentous event, the Honourable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn, on Monday, December 18th, 2023 attended the Guyana Fire Service Batch #2 Graduation Ceremony at the Leonora Training School. The ceremony marks the successful completion of training for 74 recruits, who will soon join the ranks of the Guyana Fire Service.

The recruits, carefully selected from the ten Administrative Regions across the country, have undergone rigorous training to prepare them for the challenges of firefighting and emergency response. Their commitment and dedication have been commendable throughout the training period.

Ya’el Yarris: Awarded Best-Graduating Student and Best in Theory

Akeem Fraser: Recognized as the Runner-Up

Una Motilall: Acknowledged as the Most Improved Student

Leon Bizzeth: Awarded Best Drill Student

Wayne Mc Lennan: Recognized as the Best Practical Firefighter

These outstanding individuals have showcased exceptional skills and determination, setting a high standard for their peers and embodying the values of the Guyana Fire Service.
