The Honourable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn, attended a significant handing-over ceremony of grants for several African organizations across the country. The event was held at the Arthur Chung Conference Centre and marks a crucial step in preserving, promoting, and celebrating African culture ahead of the upcoming Emancipation celebrations.
The Government of Guyana provided these grants as part of its ongoing commitment to cultural preservation and support for African heritage.
Also in attendance were several distinguished officials, including Hon. Ashni Singh, Senior Minister in the Office of the President with responsibility for Finance, Hon. Ms. Sonia Parag, Minister of Public Service, Hon. Kwame McCoy, Minister within the Office of the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Hon. Frank Anthony, Minister of Health.
