Meeting of Heads & Officers in Charge of Guyana’s Overseas Missions Abroad

Minister of Home Affairs, the Hon. Robeson Benn, attended the Meeting of Heads and Officers in Charge of Guyana’s Overseas Missions Abroad, which is being held at the Police Officer’s Mess, Eve Leary, under the theme, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation: Delivering on its responsibilities in contributing to Guyana’s development.

Mr Clifton Hicken, Acting Commissioner of Police, Captain Gerald Gouveia, National Security Adviser, and Mr. Darryl Akeung, National ICT Advisor, Office of the Prime Minister, delivered presentations on the Security roadmap and policies relating to Cyber Security and Digitalization.
Today’s meeting will see presentations on topics such as Consular Issues, Diaspora engagement and contributions to national development, and Administration support for missions, among others. It will conclude with a reception hosted by His Excellency President Mohamed Irfaan Ali.
Also present today were Hon. Dr Frank Anthony, Minister of Health; Hon. Priya Manickchand, Minister of Education; Hon. Vindya Persaud, Minister of Human and Social Services; Hon. Charles Ramson, Minister of Culture, Youth and Sport; Hon. Joseph Hamilton, Minister of Labour and Hon. Hugh Todd, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation.
