INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION OF CONTRACTORS
The Ministry of Home Affairs invites suitably qualified and experienced contractors and/or individuals to pre-qualify for the following works/services for the year 2023:
- Prequalification for the Repairs/Maintenance of Buildings and Infrastructure
- Prequalification for Provision of Electrical/Air Conditioner Repair Services
- Prequalification for the Repairs /Servicing to Vehicles and Equipment
- Prequalification for Weeding and Cleaning
- Prequalification for Extermination and Sanitation Services
- Prequalification for Security Services
Prequalification will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) Procedures specified in the Procurement Act 2003 and is open to all Bidders subject to provisions of Section III (Eligible Countries) of the Bid Document.
Interested Bidders may inspect the Bidding Document (s) and obtain further information from the Finance Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Lot 6 Brickdam Stabroek, Georgetown, telephone No. 226-2444/226-1717 between 08:30 hours and 15:30 hours, Monday to Friday.
Bid Documents can be uplifted from the Finance Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Lot 6 Stabroek, Georgetown upon payment of a non-refundable fee of five hundred ($500.00) dollars for each Bid Document.
Bids shall be submitted in hardcopy. Each envelope should state clearly the name of the project for example, ‘Prequalification for Weeding and Cleaning, 2023 – Ministry of Home Affairs) at the top left-hand corner.

and deposited in the Tender Box at the above address no later than 09:00 hours on Monday 16th January, 2023. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected.
Bids will be opened at 09:00 hours on Monday 16th January, 2023 in the Boardroom of the, Ministry of Home Affairs in the presence of those Bidders or their representatives who choose to attend the opening.
All local Bids must be accompanied by valid Certificates of Compliance from the Manager of the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and the Commissioner General of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA).
Please note that Prequalification of these works and services are for all the agencies of the Ministry of Home Affairs including the Guyana Fire Service, Guyana Prison Service, the Guyana Police Force, Customs Anti-Narcotic Unit, General Registrar Office, Juvenile Holding Centre, Guyana Forensics Science Laboratory, Citizen Security Strengthening Project and the Department of Citizenship and Immigration.
