GCCI pays a courtesy call on Minister Benn to discuss security measures for the upcoming festive season

Minister of Home Affairs Hon. Robeson Benn, M.P, met with a team of representatives from the Georgetown Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI) at the Ministry’s Boardroom on Brickdam.

The meeting sought to highlight the concerns of the GCCI and its membership, as well as solicit updates pertaining to the security arrangement for the Christmas holiday season and possible collaboration.

Minister Benn assured the GCCI representatives that all necessary measures are being implemented to guarantee a safe and secure festive season for all.

The GCCI representatives extended thanks to the Minister for facilitating the meeting to listen to their concerns. Both parties emphasized the importance of ongoing communication and agreed to meet quarterly to ensure a continuous and constructive exchange of ideas.

The GCCI’s team present at the meeting comprised of President of the GCCI, Mr. Kester Hutson; GCCI Secretary, Mrs Kathy Smith; GCCI Treasurer and Chair of the GCCI Security and Governance Sub-Committee, Mr. Orson Ferguson and Councillors, Mr. Paul Archer, Mr. Bolaji Tuase and Mr. Sean Kirkpatrick.
