The Ministry of Home Affairs invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified Bidders for the following project:

1. Reconstruction of Chief Fire Officer Living Quarters, Region No. 4- Guyana Fire Service

2. Completion of Juvenile Holding Centre, Region No. 4 – Ministry of Home Affairs

3. Construction of Accessway, Fence, And Drainage Network at Lusignan Prison, Region No. 4- Guyana Prison Service

4. Construction of Virtual Court Room at Lusignan, Region No. 4- Guyana Prison Service

Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) Procedures specified in the Procurement Act 2003 and is open to all Bidders subject to the provisions of Section lll (Eligible Countries) of the Bid Document.

Interested Bidders may inspect the Bidding Document (s) and obtain further information from the Finance Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Lot 6 Brickdam Stabroek, Georgetown, telephone No. 226-2444/226-1717 between 08:30 hours and 15:30 hours, Monday to Friday.

Bid Documents will be available at the Finance Department, Ministry of Home Affairs, Lot 6 Stabroek, Georgetown, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Three Thousand, Five Hundred ($3,500) dollars. Bids will be on sale from Tuesday February 25th, 2025. The method of payment shall be in cash.

Bids shall be submitted in a plain sealed envelope bearing no identification of the Bidder. Each envelope should clearly state the name of the project at the top left-hand corner, and the statement ‘Do NOT Open Before 09:00 hrs on March 18th, 2025.’

and deposited in the Tender Box at the above address not later than 09:00 hours on Thursday March 18th, 2025. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected.

Bids will be opened at 09:00 hrs on March 18th, 2025, in the Boardroom of the National Procurement and Tender Administration Board Building in the presence of those Bidders or their representatives who choose to attend the opening.

All Bids must be accompanied by valid Certificates of Compliance from the Manager of the National Insurance Scheme (NIS) and the Commissioner General of the Guyana Revenue Authority (GRA).

The Ministry of Home Affairs reserves the right to reject any or all the Bids without assigning any reason whatsoever and not necessarily to award to the lowest Bid.
