The Honourable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn attended the opening ceremony of the 46th Conference of the Caribbean, the Americas, and the Atlantic Region of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA). Minister Benn is participating alongside H.E. President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali, Prime Minister Hon. Brig. (R’td) Mark Phillips, fellow cabinet members, members of the Diplomatic Corps, and special invitees.
The Regional Conference will convene Parliamentarians and Clerks from various jurisdictions across the CPA Caribbean, Americas, and Atlantic Region. Participants will engage in discussions on the theme, “Democracy: Challenges Facing Modern Parliaments.” The conference is scheduled to run until September 7, 2024.
