EKAA HRIM Earth Resources Management Quarry

The Honourable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn, joined H.E President Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali and a few fellow Cabinet Members at the commissioning ceremony of EKAA HRIM Earth Resources Management Quarry at Batavia Island, Region Seven.
Ekaa Hrim Earth Resources Management quarry sits on 1,089 acres of lease land, with a quarrying pit of 30 acres. The lease is valid for fifteen (15) years, with the option to renew at the end of that period.
Additionally, natural resources such as silica sand, manganese, bauxite, granite and iron ore are mined by this company. They also have operations in education and training, HR recruiting and staffing, infrastructure, agriculture and oil and gas.
The village of Batavia will significantly benefit from the quarry, with more job opportunities for skilled and unskilled workers, a tribute to the village, among other opportunities.
Thus far, US$10 million has been injected into Ekaa Hrim Earth Resources Management quarry and upon completion, the cost will amount to US$20 million.
The contract for this project was signed in January of this year.
