Deputy Commander of Regional Police Division #8, DSP Davidson,

recently met and interacted with business owners/residents at Mowasie Landing and 35 Miles Landing in Region #8.

The Deputy Commander was accompanied by Sergeant 18481 Blackman, Sergeant 23628 Nandram, and D.Lcpl 24192 Rutherford.

Some of the issues raised and discussed include:

** Sexual-related matters not being reported to the Police

** Selling of prohibited items to underage children

** Human Trafficking

** Domestic violence

** Child labour

** Operating motor vehicle/cycle with the requisite documents and license

** Persons must report suspicious occurrences in their Villages/area

** The Guyana Police Force’s ongoing recruitment drive for eligible youths and interested persons

During the outreach, the residents lauded the ranks for their words of advice and also assured that they would continue to be law-abiding citizens and work with the Police to make their communities safer for all.
