The Honorable Minister of Home Affairs, Mr. Robeson Benn, made an impromptu visit to the newly constructed Den Amstel Police Station, where he was briefed on the ongoing G$88.9 million revetment and fencing project.
During the visit, Minister Benn was briefed on the progress of the construction, which is currently at 3 percent completion. Initial tasks, including excavation, formboard preparation, and steel reinforcement, are well underway. However, the project has experienced some delays due to the relocation of a GTT pole.
Minister Benn stressed the significance of adhering to the projected timelines and underscored the need for all contractors involved to focus on efficiency and timely execution of their tasks.
The construction of the Den Amstel Police Station represents a significant investment in public safety and infrastructure. The revetment and fence are integral to providing a secure and functional environment for law enforcement operations.
